Bio-fuels such as methanol and ethanol are steadily becoming promising alternative to petroleum gas because they are liquid fuels at ambient temperature, hence easy to store and transport, and carry high energy density. Because they are liquid, they are being considered for use in the transportation sector. Like hydrogen, they are environmentally friendly, clean and renewable, and are considered to reduce GHG emissions and ensure energy independence and security.
